Thanks to Lon and Tom,

You've told me what I need to know.  There's a reference in a song to
apple fruit being visible on a tree in spring and I wasn't sure if that
was possible.  Since there is no specification of place or species in
the song, I'm satisfied that at least somewhere in this country, small
apple fruit would be visible in June.  Now I can report that the song is
accurate.

I appreciate your help.
