Freelance contract

In 2000 the Boston Globe required freelancers to sign a new standard contract, which specified the Globe would have publication rights without additional payment to other work of the freelancer. This was one of the first big disputes dealing with on-line publishing involving the work of freelancers.

The freelancers sued, but have now dropped the suit. For a summary, see
