Anyone seriously considering going digital, and especially selling images for publication, would be wise look over Alan Detrick's piece in the latest Quill & Trowel. In it he makes it clear that taking the picture is only the beginning of the process. Alan is a fine photographer but I know he feels it's necessary to spend time working with his digital images after the shoot - rather different from labelling the slide, entering it into the database and filing it away.
