Re: Food for thought

I trust you heard that the fellow who wrote a book critical of Karl Rove was then put on the "no fly" list. Can't fly and promote sales of his book. I keep thinking of the Chiles jingle, "I want my freedom back, freedom back," ...when GWB says other people envy us our freedom, they're thinking of the freedom we used to have, pre-Bush, IMO. One more thing about this whole GMO/Terminator/Corporate Control
reality that really gets my undies in a bunch...The GMO companies
fight every local and state labeling law that is proposed by THE
PEOPLE via ballot measures, because most politicians are in the back
pocket of the GMO companies and would never go against the wallet
  that feeds them.

In Mendocino county, CA. voters passed overwhelmingly ballot measures
that not only ban growing GMOs in their county but a strict labeling
law on products grown elsewhere but sold in the county. Now the GMO
companies are lobbying in the state legislature to prohibit counties
from doing just that. Commanding us to bow down before the almighty
dollar. The reality is if a strict labeling law was put into effect
nationally, GMOs would die a quick death because polls show a large
majority of people don't want GMOs in their bodies. So much for the
  "free marketplace."

It is so obvious to most reasonable people that our once great
country has been bought out lock, stock and barrel by the
corporations whose only goal is to make the most money anyway they
can--pollution, cancer or environmental consequences be damned. Then
they have loyal, deluded and brain washed supporters on these email
lists spewing their corporate propaganda line supporting their vile
  corporate activities.

I heard a good twist on the old saying, "America -- love it or leave
it." It is "America -- love it or give it back." The neo-con
corporatists have stolen our country--I wish and only dream that
someday they would give it back.
