DIY website report

Hello List!

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and ideas regarding DIY websites
several weeks ago. Adam and I ended up using homstead.com and think it's a good
deal. Fees are reasonable: $20 set up which was discounted to $10, $5 per
month for the first three months and then $10 per month afterwards.

So here's our new website to promote our book, Guide to the Great Gardens of
the Philadelphia Region:

_www.phillygardenguide.com_ (http://www.phillygardenguide.com)

It went live this morning so drop us a note in the guestbook with your
comments.

A few pointers about Homestead:

You must register (including giving your phone number) to start playing with
the lite version of their design software. They called me within ten
minutes of registering but only to ask if I needed any help. Once we committed, we
downloaded the complete software and had a rough design within a few days.
The software is a lot of fun and the learning curve pretty minimal. Technical
phone support is attitude-free, unlimited for thirty days and with no
significant waiting times.

Thanks again,
Rob Cardillo
