Re: New Year's plant count

My traditional New Year's Eve walk turned up Chimonanthus praecox, Hamamelis
virginiana, Lonicera fragrantissima, Gelsemium sempervirens, Osmanthus
fragrans, several Camellia sasanquas, and various Hellebores blooming.
After 18.3 degrees this AM, there's not much now.
It was 27 in the greenhouse, so I'm not expecting much there, either. I
haven't the heart to go look now that things are thawed a bit. I brought in
some frozen Alocasias, in hopes of saving the roots, but they were mush down
to the soil level, so I won't hold my breath.
