White House garden campaign action alert: 1200 green thumbs needed this week!

ACTION ALERT: PLEASE VOTE TODAY AND HELP US SPREAD THE WORD

This is a critical week for the White House organic garden campaign, our
most important week since the campaign was launched last February.

We're asking home gardeners, community gardeners, plant a row for the hungry
gardeners, locavores, slow food folks, urban farmers, and other green-minded
people to give 10 minutes of their time to the cause this week by doing the
following three things:

1) Vote for us (Eat the View) in the final round of the OnDayOne.org contest
(1 minute)

2) Vote for us in the final round of the Change.org (4 minutes - longer
because you need to register first). I realize this is a pain, but it's an
important contest and we need at least 1200 more votes to become
competitive. We're not focusing only on the "First Garden" with this
contest, but a new Victory Garden movement (which we're calling "Victory
Gardens 2.0" ) which we believe a new White House garden could help launch.

3) Spread the word to your email and social network contacts using this
widget (5 minutes). Clicking on "e-mail" below the widget will open a new
window where you can upload your yahoo, hotmail, aol or gmail contacts in a
snap.

Thanks for your support. Together, we are going to help dig this new
kitchen garden which will inspire millions!

PS: If you need any additional motivation for taking action, please consider
the chilling announcement from the United Nations last week that 2009 is on
track to be the hungriest year in history with over 1 billion people
affected.
