Portland, Oregon gardens

Dear Friends,
Due to a schedule conflict, I had to miss the conference last
September in Portland. But now my young adult son has moved there, and
I'm planning a trip to visit him this spring. Does anyone have contact
information for the gracious hosts who allowed the garden writers to
visit their gardens, or know of other great private gardens to visit?
Also, besides the Chinese Classical Garden and the Japanese Garden, what
other public gardens/nurseries should I try to see?
    Many thanks.
    Catriona
P.S. The dates for the Raleigh conference are written in ink in my
calendar!! :-)
