I admit, I'm old enough to remember when people did NOT put barriers 
up against would-be customers.  Do they want my business or not?  I 
have no idea what other list I've "ranted" about this on, but I have 
been angry about this for a long time, "Sue."  I'm not worried about 
spam because I do have spam blockers.  I resent being told "that is 
not your name," or "that is not your password" or "that is not your 
e-mail address.
That address is being used by another."  Okay, so I'll take my 
business elsewhere.  People who make demands such as these are 
dictators, and dictators are a stench in the nostrils as Nazis 
were.  It's not a "petty" thing, and yes, I am irate, even if it
