I take the attitude that we are all adults and behave ourselves.  Evidently, the winter weather has made cranks of some of us.  Or maybe, it premature Spring fever.  Today's exchanges were over the top and unacceptable.

Heed these rules or pay the price.....banishment from the list.

1.  Think about what you write.  Is your tone of voice insulting?  Are your choice of words inflammatory?  We are a supportive, friendly group.  Don't insult others.  The line between humor and an insult can be razor-thin.  Your quip may well be taken as an insult.

2.  Clip the previous material when replying to a post.  You may include a sentence or two about what you answering, but delete the rest.  Many on the list still have dial-up service and some use handheld devices like Crackberries.  (OK!  That's my attempt at humor, but I'm also a Crackberry user.  They can be additive, but they sure beat lugging a laptop on the road just to get email.)  Show some courtesty and acquaint yourself with the delete key.  The automatically-generated footers, alone, can pile up into hundreds of extra words that are nothing but repetition.

3.  Above all else, act and write like a responsible adult.  Manners take anyone a long way, and I insist (just like your mother did) that you use manners on this listserv.
