Re: "Registration" Nazis

Dear List,
Good websites do not keep personal information on you. You should only give
the information required for processing your order. In Canada the release of
personal information is a serious crime. I can not even confirm what one
division of the same large corporation ordered. In this case they share the
information with each other. This also happens in the USA where the company
in one state talks to the operation in another state telling them what to
order. This transfer of information also happens on blog sites. Phoning a
web company does not change anything. The same information will be required.
Never save you personal information for any website on your computer. Always
clear your cache and information at the end of each session. This is a
setting in your browser. Remember that Amazon and other similar sites share
your information with their fulfilment companies. All good websites can
record your IP Address. Legitimate companies can target their web
advertising by geographical area and as such your relative income. I fact
you can check the web for how many sex offenders live in your area, how much
the homes on your street have sold for and much much more! In regards to
shipping costs the low priced items are not worth carrying. They do not
cover the cost of running the lights. The courier shipping costs change
weekly with the cost of fuel flucuations. The cost of the courier on a small
inexpensive item is often more than the cost of the item. The cost of
mailing a package has the same labour, and overhead as a courier with out a
tracking number and any recourse. The company may replace your lost product
simply for the sake of good will. A complete loss. The other customers pay
for it in the long run.
