For those of you with aspirations to start your own magazine - magcloud (
http://magcloud.com/) offers a print on demand system for magazine
production.   So not only can you start your own e-newspaper (a la Seth
Godin) you can start your very own print-magazine with no entry-level
problems now.
It could be an interesting stand alone or part of a website operation.  It's
still in beta and only ships to the US at this time but it's an interesting
option run by HP.  Perhaps the future option for small publishing ventures.
