Re: How garden writers can help each other

    I'm sorry if I gave the impression that Debra rigged the Amazon reviews.
That was certainly not my intention, but I see how what I wrote came across
that way.  While I was writing the email, I went to your Amazon site and
read the large collection of reviews.  It's clear that they come from the
general public.  I do think, though, that a 5-star review up front helps put
people in a positive frame of mind when they approach the book, and I think
Debra was very savvy to ask me (and I was happy to oblige) to put the review
on Amazon.  It never would have occurred to me to do so otherwise (I'd never
reviewed a book on Amazon before).  Anyway, I think Debra would be an
excellent speaker for the Conference, and I hope they approach her about
that.
