Re: school gardens


I too went apoplectic when I read it. I kept getting the feeling that the
author was really angry about something else, like maybe her ex-husband
espoused school gardens and this was transferred rage.

Am also surprised Atlantic published it since it seems so unbalanced. Do we
stop having math classes because some math teachers are bad? Of course some
schools do a better job of integrating garden programs into the
science/writing/art curricula than others, but the potential for learning
here is enormous. Seems petty to attack it.
