No Handouts?
If this discussion hasn't gone by, -I would like to add that for my
GWA writing seminars, I put the exercises right on the handout. There
would be no other way to do this but with paper, unless, as Judy says,
everyone had a laptop already loaded. Don't think that will happen
yet. At my university, I have attended Ipad instructional workshops
for incorporating the technology into the classroom, and even they
admit that sometimes, you need paper. Paperless seminars are great,
but perhaps this laudable goal cannot be achieved yet--at least until
we figure out another way to deliver the material in the sessions. My
teaching is hands-on, and for that we still need hand-outs.
