Re: origin of magazines
An aside.
During the 1970's there was quite a bit of concern with using "male
dominated, violent, language" (Beginning of the PC movement??) I remember
the attempt to "clean up the language" and remove toy guns from children.
Just what passes for a brain working someplace besides where it should be
concentrating.
