Compost Tumblers

Hey, all,

I'm researching compost tumblers for an article, and wondered if anyone has 
experience with them.

Mostly I'm looking to verify manufacturer claims that they produce compost 
faster, are less messy than open piles or other methods, and that they are 
unobtrusive in suburban and urban locales.

Any inputs will be appreciated.
