My experience is that they make big wads of wet messy spoiled materials rather than compost. They also rust so you get holes that are lots of fun for rats and miceHey, all, I'm researching compost tumblers for an article, and wondered if anyone has experience with them. Mostly I'm looking to verify manufacturer claims that they produce compost faster, are less messy than open piles or other methods, and that they are unobtrusive in suburban and urban locales. Any inputs will be appreciated. Brook
I also tested a circular compot bin that was stationery but had perforated tubes that stuck horizontally through the bin. The idea was that the tubes would aerate the bin.
Oh well...
Nan
