Thanks for the input.
Could you give me more details about how you use it? Do you have to grind the additions, or just throw them in? What do you use: grass clipping? Leaves? Household waste?
One angle we are looking at is whether these units really are less obtrusive, more pest resistent, and more odor free than an open pile. Is that your experience? Particularly, would you recommend them to people with small yards, especially in an urban or suburban locale?

We have had a double tumbler composter for a couple of years. It is
easy, not bad looking (beats bins in the back yard), however, faster it is
not. We are lazy composters and I'm sure if we rotated it more frequently,
added water and worms, it would work much faster. Takes about a season for
us, but as I say, we are lazy. The compost it produces has a nice rich
quality.
