Re: digital cameras

I'm ready to invest in a digital camera, mostly for photo scouting for
magazine articles and for photos for web usage. I don't need the highest
quality, but I want something better than the lowest common denominator.
What cameras would you folks on the list recomend? (For somebody who on a
scale of 1 to 10 -- with 10 being the techno-nerd -- would put herself at
about 6 or so.)

I'd love to hear your suggestions.
