I recently purchased the Nikon Coolpix 5000, a 5.25 megapixel unit with zoom
that is near as good as a 35mm. I needed the high megapixel rate for
magazine cover shots that get enlarged. I am happy with it and it has
various lens that you can attach to it with all the options a 35mm offers. I
shopped on the internet and got a good deal (about $125 less than the
suggested retail of $995.). I will have it in Seattle if you are going and
you can take a look at it. Stop by the Hydroponic Merchants Association
booth in the trade show. I will be staffing it most of the time during the
trade show exhibit.
