Which are correct names?
Here is an interesting angle to the story line: In Alaska we want to
preserve the FIRST local names of our plants. "Slang", Latin, Native".
Kinnikinnik, anyone? It is a beautiful groundcover AKA Arctostaphylos
uva-ursi.
By way of garden writing, do the judges of the GWA contest take points off
for lack of scientific nomenclature? I think so.
