GWL Gathering

I'm posting this again to remind all that the deadline for an RSVP is
approaching.  I called Indian Lakes Resort to make a reservation for the
Cave Bar on Friday, Aug. 15.  That bar is located in the atrium, behind the
hotel lobby, and is under the waterfall.  Should be easy to find.

The GWA Symposium is Aug. 15-19 in Chicago this year at the Indian Lakes
Resort.  This listserv will have its annual gathering on Friday, Aug. 15 at
5 p.m. at the Cave Bar in the atrium of the hotel.  We have met previously
in hotel bars, and they seem to be the best place to gather.

An added attraction at this meeting is Lon!  You can finally meet the man
who keeps us on the straight and narrow, the man who created this valuable
listserv.  He has never attended a GWA symposium before, so we need to be
kind to him.  Jeff, Jeff and others in the Back-of-the-Bus club, behave
yourselves and be nice to Lon.

Symposium events in the same time frame are as follows:

Newcomers Meeting for newbies and mentors--4 p.m.
Power Equipment Show--1 to 5 p.m. on hotel grounds
Trade Show Exhibit--opens at 5 p.m.
Reception at Trade Show (free nibbles and drinks)--6:30 p.m.

I figure we can have a drink or two in the Cave Bar and amble over to the
trade show in time for the reception.

Please email me off-list if you plan to attend.  I need a head count to
arrange space.  I'll need your RSVP by July 30.  This is an absolute,
because I'm moving from Wisconsin to Illinois Aug. 1.  My computer will be
down until Aug. 5.

For the computer skills-challenged, highlight my email address above, click
on EDIT, click on CUT and then exit this email.  Start a new email form, and

up.
