Re: what zone is Washington DC in?


If you ask at the National Arboretum they can probably give you very detailed 
info on their conditions, temp, frost depth, growing season.  Wouldn't it be 
nice if more editors had some awareness of how to research a question.  People 
are eager to believe George Bush when he says America changed a lot on 9/11, 
but they won't pay attention to the Agricultural Research Service or Extension 
staff, or, heaven forbid, any serious journals that might make their lives 
different.
