Re: Easy rose trend

I know Steve George of TAMU, and if he says Knock Out is an easy rose, you
can count on it. He tests plants for the difficult Texas climates (plural,
because TX goes from USDA Zones 10 to 7) in a program called CEMAPS. If a
plant passes the rigorous CEMAPS criteria, it can grow anywhere.

In my experience, Knock Out is about the most carefree rose one can plant.
It's perfect for black thumbs. Bill Radner, the hybridizer who created it
says that if you deadhead or fuss over Knock Out, you decrease the number of
flowers and its vigor.
