Re: Self publishing
We have several small publishing firms in our area who actively seek the
small market books. They provide everything needed for a seemingly
reasonable fee. Lots of options and upgrades are available, of course. They
do make it sound attractive.
Perhaps I'm naive here but it would seem that if you were publishing a book
in conjunction with an existing business, it might make sense to think of a
self-published book as a really thick business brochure. Then it becomes a
business venture.
As a professional writer/author, is there a stigma associated with vanity
press? Then again, does the general publick really care how a book gets into
their hands?
