Aha. I suspect we are talking about the Proven Winner shipment in early 
June, and if I am guessing correctly, specifically the Eyecatcher weigela. 
Mine, too, arrived DOA. When I get a trial plant that arrives in poor 
condition, I generally don't complain to the originator, but it isn't likely 
that I will write approvingly of that plant. If everyone had trouble with 
this weigela, though, it might be something they would want to look into.

Incidentally, the other shrubs arrived in fine condition. The hydrangea 
looks particularly promising.
