Re: Endless Summer hydrangea

I've trialed Endless Summer in zone 6 and zone 5. The three in the zone 6
location were withing five feet of each other and yet each performed
differently with only two surviving after two years. In the zone 5 trials all three s
urvived though they die to the ground each year and are only green budded
now. These get good snow cover protection, are at an altitude of about 2000
feet and are somewhat small compared to the zone 6 plants but the zone six soil
is much better and the growing season longer at each end. Zone 5 area was
down to 38 degrees twice last week.
