Re: another thought re: web pages

Gosh, I would never put music on my website. I know how it irritates me when
I go to a site that has music. I actually told one person their website
music was terribly distracting and annoying. (I had to return to it several
times and I was ready to scream.) They were shocked. Busy researchers,
editors, writers, etc....just don't have the time or patience for the
frills. I always..."skip the intro"...how about you?

Donna's idea of a cup of tea is great...maybe the lovely fragrance of
lavender...or freshly cut grass...maybe someday...

Just to add that since 1995 I have had my email on the homepage of my
site...I will not put any flash or music because that is not what my site is
about...it is a gardening resource site, but if I could offer them a cup of
tea or coffee - well that is another matter :)

I just want to add the following thought to my comments about a phone
number and email address on websites. This is what businesses do. Although
it does occasionally drive me crazy when a business makes it hard to find
their phone number on their website, for the most part, when I look at a
business site, the contact information is all there. As a professional
speaker and writer, my website should reflect that I am in business, and
fear of spam or telemarketers be damned!
