Jeff, I think you are missing the point here.

It isn't like folks are substituting one "organic" pesticide/herbicide/ 
fertilizer for one "synthetic" pesticide/herbicide/fertilizer -   
instead, they are backing away from using all pesticides, herbicides,  
and purchased fertilizers.
