I haven't seen any cabbage whites this year, not even on several cabbage and 
kale plants I have growing. I'm about a dozen miles from Philadelphia. Today 
I noticed that I haven't seen any Japanese beetles this year -- they usually 
appear just after July Fourth. This is after a very wet and cool spring and 
early summer. It's not as cool here as Doreen has it but is far below 
average.
