GWA is not hurting for cash.

For the past several years, GWA Foundation has sponsored a drawing 
for large items, such as computers and cameras. These products are 
donated.

We received a similar mailing last year before the symposium. Raffle 
tickets are available throughout the symposium, with the items given 
away as the awards dinner.

The money raised from the raffle goes to the GWA Foundation, which in 
turn supports PAR, Garden Trends research, scholarships and other 
kinds of activities.

I'm not sure I understand what your last sentence means. Our 
membership fees support the organization's operations.
