Couldn't agree with her more. Alan Titchmarsh has been part of the dumbing down process to my mind - it has always seemed to me that he almost worked to avoid showing his real level of knowledge. Turned off Chelsea coverage after day one this year and haven't watched Gardeners World since the arrival of Monty Don (the man who doesn't know how to use a spade - copy him and wreck your back). They do have some good presenters on both shows but seem to be more interested in celebs and cheesecake than plants. Now if they'd given the main job to Carol Klein.................
