I'm reminded of the apocryphal story of Mark Twain, who told someone that it would take him two weeks to prepare a one-hour lecture, a week for a two-hour lecture, and if he could ramble on for three hours, "I'm ready right now."
I have stuck up on my computer monitor his comment that "The difference between the right word and almost the right word is the difference between the lightening and the lightening bug."
