GWA Elections

And I am afraid I am of the mind that you should only be voting for people
in your own region, not in any other region.  I have always thought this and
perhaps I am the only one, but I do not feel comfortable with having a lot
of other people in the other regions voting for my National Director.  I
have argued this for years.  We have regions for a purpose, to keep our
members close to us - so to speak - and you have six other regions voting on
who my National Director is for my region?...hmmm.

There are a lot of wonderful people who deserve to be voted in but I believe
they should be voted in by each individual regions members...those are the
people who know them the best.  Who am I to decide who would be the best in
another region?  As much as I like and enjoy the other region members, when
it comes time to vote you will see me abstaining from any vote other than my
own region and the Executive.

Each member running in each particular region should be promoting themselves
to their own region members...that to me seems fair and will end up having
the best person possible for that region.
