Ewe! I have a small pond, very small, one of those fiberglass preformed
things. I call it my lily puddle, and the water is so clear that you can
count the bottle caps on the bottom. What does it for me is ribbon grass. It
will suck up all the nitrogen the fish can push out, it expands quite
quickly depending on the amount of nitrogen available, hardy here in Zone 5,
and the roots are good spawning material and hiding places for the babies.
