Ed Snodgrass, Mr. Green Roof Plants himself, recommends them - with a 3-foot 
extender to avoid having to bend over.  They're perfect for sedums because 
sedums don't get burned easily, since they're succulents, but the weeds do.

I am looking for folks having experiences with weed removal via a flame
torch as a non-toxic and not too labor intensive method. Did it work,
