Re: Novocaine for deer repellent?

I can't say I've heard of novocaine being used in this fashion- hopefully
someone on the list has some experience with it.

I can attest to PlantSkydd being everything it says it is and more. We use
it on all of our overwintered trees and shrubs- rabbit damage is zero, mice
damage negligible. (we don't have deer in the area)
Winter losses have gone from bank-breaking serious to practically nothing.

The only tough part was after record breaking snowfalls, I had to snowshoe
around the nursery to spray tree bits that had been 6 feet off the ground.
And it does have a certain fragrance which can cling to the applicator if
one is silly enough to be standing downwind.

We found one spot where the rabbits had been sitting in the branches of a
spruce, 8 feet above ground level and nibbling on a crabapple. Made for
some interesting times when we showed visitors from other countries how big
the rabbits are in Canada.
