Re: Garden Gift Ideas

Title: Re: [GWL] Garden Gift Ideas
Here, I have to speak up.  I greatly appreciate the promotion of my book, but The Grape Grower was written primarily to teach how to grow TABLE grapes.  I do include a good number of wine grapes in the variety section, and the methods work for wine grapes as well as table grapes, but the whole point of the book was to instruct folks on how to grow their own eatin' grapes.  There hasn't been a good table grape book for nearly 80 years, when U. P. Hedrick did his manual of grape growing, back in the 1920's.
I wouldn't make such a big deal of it, but somehow that point seems to be missed in all the promotions of the book.

Have a wine lover on your list?  Lon's new book The Grape Grower won a
Garden Globe Award because it is written so well, full of useful information
and is enjoyable to read.  It's perfect gift for anyone who loves wine -
