This nugget was in the ezine The Weekly Dirt today. There are 6% more plants on the Earth than there were 20 years ago, according to a new report from Science magazine. The increase in heat, light, water and carbon dioxide caused the burst in plant growth. The tropics and higher latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere account for 80% of the growth. http://www.sciencemag.org/
