Re: A Pet Peeve and Need Identification Help
Continuing with pet peeves and the last from me on this one. Whatever you
call a plant it's not a botanical name! It's a scientific name. There is no
such thing as a botanical name unless you consider common or folk names
referring to plants. Let's all at least get this one right. And while we are
at it, cactuses is the proper plural for cactus as cacti is the Latin plural
and the same goes for fungus. The proper plural is funguses not fungi, again
the Latin plural. Peter
