Re: Incorporating
Hello Melanie,
Before you wade too much further into the steam, how about checking the
depth and width? Hopefully you will have a Small Business Administration in
you area where you can check in or attend symposiums on small business
start-ups. They have classes here several times a year and at least once a
pre-business plan is taught. You really do need to have sound information
for your state for a small business.
Our accountant advised up to form a LLC. For several reasons, one of
which protection for lawsuit-happy public. Another was tax advantages. Not
all that bad... about $600 to set it up with an attorney here. Also a good
accountant to keep you out of trouble tax-wise both federal, state, and
local. Perhaps it all sounds a bit like over-kill, but believe me, there is
not substitute for good sound business practices. Especially if you want to
have that small business succeed.
I am a big Canon fan, so when I went digital this past week, I chose the
new Canon Rebel. All my AF lenses will work on the new back from the other
Rebels we have here. I am still not sold on digital and power point over
slides... plan on holding out for some time. Just not the same and I am not
ready to compromise as yet. Another story for another time....
