I rarely respond to the list, but enjoy the lively threads.  This time, the
editor in me just needs to put in her 2 cents (and when did they remove the
cents symbol from keyboards) Nan first asked:

I am glad this came up as I am often confused about how to site a plant that
has a cultivar name and a trademark name.  Graham, can you give us some
examples of how these plants are to be correctly sited?

We feel that the plants should be sited as follows in articles and books:

In both cases, the word you want is not Œsite¹ but should be ³cite²,
otherwise you are asking where to place the plant, not how to properly refer
to it. 

I was very pleased to read Danielle¹s response. Perhaps she might want to
send this into the Q&T newsletter for the GWA. All members would benefit
from this information.
