Re: speaking on a cruise

Dear Rich:
I was a featured speaker on a Cunard trip going through the Panama Canal and
stopping in Costa Rica where I lived and had a plantation that sold gingers
and ornamental pineapples. I gave 3 lectures on life in Costa Rica. No
money changed hands, but Cunard paid for everything - including my air fare
to and from. the ship. Had a great time.

If any of you are curious about my garden, with thousands of astilbes, it
is featured with 8 pages of color photos in the July issue of Martha Stewart
Living magazine on sale now. If any of your readers have questions about
Astilbes - please let me know and I will try to help. I would like to get
an Astilbe Society started one day. Anyone want to help?
Suzanne Pierot, President
American Ivy Society
