There are still a few "gren industry" people in Massachusetts who think 
the red leaved plants of Berberis Thunbergii don't produce seedlings. I 
guess it is another kind of believing fairy tales.

Those who have tried to remove this plant are prone to spell this
grass "pampass," but The Sunset Western Garden Book spells it
