Re: trademarked plant names?
I'd like to add input from a nonprofit plant introduction/recommendation program. Plant Select® is currently working on policies for cultivar naming, trademarking, etc., but in the past w've trademarked names of unique selections that were not patentable in order to protect our interests and to collect marketing fees from licensed growers. This is the single largest source of income we have for research, development, marketing and other program-related expenses.
