If you google "speaker's one sheet" you'll see many examples even if they aren't from garden speakers. The basic speaker's one sheet contains the following: at least one photo of you, your website and contact info, a few of the talks you give and a few references/quotes. It should, informationally and visually, convey who you are and what you do. Since gardening is largely a visual business it shoud convey that in some way.

 A one sheet can also be slanted toward the particular audience you want to speak to. So, for example, my one sheet that is aimed at professional conferences/trade shows is different from the one that is aimed toward garden clubs or horticultural societies. I have a seperate one sheet for non gardening audiences as well. 

 Some speakers go to printers/graphic designers who specialize in one sheets - these have a particular look that may or may not mesh with your sensibility. Basically, you want your promotional materials to reflect you.
