agreed on all points. I may have come down a little too strongly on the side
of commerce in my earlier email.
I'm very much committed to accurate nomenclature and to educating the
industry and the gardener. However, I'm leery of turning a catalog into a
sort of treasure hunt. The infamous Chrysanthemum changes and subsequent
partial retreat are still a mess, as most people either (a) hadn't made the
change in the first place, (b) made the change but haven't gone back to
Chrysanthemum, or (c) changed too many species back to Chrysanthemum.
Can't please everyone. But we have to try, don't we?
