Hello Katy,
    Welcome, almost neighbor.
    I live and garden behind the next cornfield over and down from you. Southern Indiana about 32 miles north and west of Louisville, KY.
    Master Gardener here.... shade garden specialist. My wife has the raised beds with her herbs. She has some photos up on the our web site of her arrangements.
    If you are ever pointed toward this neck of the woods please let us know. Be glad to show you the gardens, talk plants in Hoosier Land.

Along the way I have leant how to take cuttings and transport plants across state lines.  The last move had 1500 phyto-certified pots to move, courtesy United Van Lines (who were not amused!).  I now grow and sell certified organic herbs in Central Indiana.

I am active in the Herb Society of America and the Indiana Master Gardener program (although I certified in Virginia).  I have just rewritten the Purdue Extension publication on Herb Growing.  I am also a new member of the GWAA.
