Re: Plant by numbers

Is this really a bad thing?  I think many people want to garden, but are 
intimidated. I think this is a good way for them to get started. Plant what 
they're told to plant, learn about what they've planted, then begin 
replacing their plants with other plants that have the same 
requirements.  AFAIK there are no requirements of Ph.D. in Horticulture or 
Botany, ability to identify and name (botanically) xxx number of plants, or 
have degrees in landscape design to enjoy gardening.  Margaret Lauterbach
